Capital Campaign

Our church was founded in 1635. In 1641, our congregation established the city of Stamford. After building, expanding, and maintaining five other houses of worship, in 1913, our spiritual forebears completed the construction of our church building on Walton Place—the sixth worship space of First Congregational Church of Stamford. Our current building is almost 100 years old. We need your help to improve and enhance this beautiful sacred space to be a spiritual home and ministry center for this generation and generations to come.

One hundred years ago, while our church building was under construction, our predecessors did not have a place in which to worship for almost two years. Can you imagine that? Can you imagine not having this wonderful, sacred space in which to worship, make new family, share hugs, meet and love people you would not likely get to know elsewhere, and find new ways to bring God’s love and healing into the world?

We need your help. Our spiritual ancestors made it possible—across the centuries and six houses of worship—for us to worship and serve from this place. Now it is our turn. Your gifts, large and small, to our 375th Anniversary Capital Campaign will make a difference in the lives of many, many people. Make a pledge of a one-time donation, or spread it across the four years of the Campaign—monthly, quarterly, annually. Please give your gift.

You may donate at any time through this website by clicking on the link below. For more information on our Capital Campaign or to request a pledge card, please contact the church office at fccstamford@gmail.com or 203-323-0200.
