Community
We hope that our great music and dynamic sermons will attract you to come to First Congregational Church of Stamford. We pray that our welcoming community will keep you. Every church likes to think of itself as friendly and welcoming. We are doing even more to strengthen how we come together as a faith community. We recognize that we all bring joys and hurts from our lives, and that church means different things to each of us depending on what we have experienced.
We know that we cannot be “all things to all people.” So we seek to be a safe place, even the right place, for people who want to:
• Experience God with both their intellect and emotion.
• Be a part of a diverse community.
• Be a part of a community that helps parents raise their children, helps care for those who live alone, and helps support our elders.
• Learn, grow, and have fun with spiritually conscious people.
This is who we are as a church community. Truth is, we really enjoy each other. And the more we get to know each other, the more we see the face of God in one another and in those we just met. Come, experience and feel community with us. |
