First Congregational Church of Stamford rejoices with each couple who makes the commitment of love and life together. We pray that your love for each other will grow and that you will help one another find joy and peace.
As an Open and Affirming congregation, FCC Stamford welcomes couples, regardless of denominational affiliation, membership, or sexual orientation. Couples who seek the love of God to guide and sustain their relationships are welcome to use our church as a sacred venue as they make their covenant of love.
Venues at FCC Stamford
At FCC Stamford, we can accommodate wedding ceremonies and receptions of various sizes. Ceremonies can be held in our Sanctuary, with beautiful stained-glass windows; the simple beauty of our New England–style Chapel; or the natural beauty of our Memorial Garden. Receptions can be held in our Dining Room, Parlor, or Memorial Garden.
Preparations for Marriage
At FCC Stamford, we consider marriage to be a four-way covenant of love. Of course, the two major parties in this covenant are the individuals who are marrying each other. This covenant also includes God and the community of individuals who commit to love and support the couple. Therefore, it is essential for all couples whose wedding ceremonies are held at FCC Stamford to receive marriage support through premarital counseling by our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Cari Jackson.
