Baptism

In this United Church of Christ congregation, we welcome all individuals who choose to be baptized as an outward symbol of an inner truth. Baptism represents a personal commitment to follow Jesus and be led by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that when parents choose to bring their children to be baptized, the parents are making a profession of faith and are choosing to commit to live as spiritual role models for their children and also inviting the church community to participate in that child's life as loving friends. Baptism is a commitment to be part of a faith community with all that entails.

To support individuals in making this faith commitment, the pastor and deacons are glad to meet with those who are exploring Baptism for themselves or for their children. Baptism Sundays are held twice throughout the year, during the Sunday worship service.

If you are interested in having your child, or being baptized yourself, please contact the church office for available Baptism dates. Download and submit the Baptism Information Form and email it to the church office at office@fccstamford.org.
